#76Donk - Houston hasn't even begun to get rainfall. This is the prelim to where the ground is getting saturated for the main event. If this thing sits on top of Houston for several days, things are going to get very bad. People should be preparing just in case. This thing is now a cat 4 hurricane. It is not a joke or something to take lightly. What if thousands of people lose power for several weeks? In this Texas heat? What if you can't get access to gas to power generators (gas stations ran out all over the west side today)? What if you can't get food (people were fighting over a loaf of bread at HEB)? The water pressure is already low in many places. What if we lose water for several days/weeks?

#84I hate to say it but you pretty much deserve to die if you are told to evacuate and you disobey the warnings. You have no time to evacuate in a tornado or earthquake but you have plenty of time to seek higher ground in a hurricane. I remember years ago being in the Bahamas when a hurricane was going to hit that weekend. I told my GF that we were on the next plane out after only 1 day there. She was like, "We just got here", "it will probably miss the island". I told her she was out of her GD mind if she thought I would stay on a fukking island during a hurricane. You have to be stupid to not get out if you can.Comment -

#92little issue, alright.....
as in it does not exist.....
kind of like the Lady's Man's nonexistent car.....
On a side note, my Mom and the relatives in s. texas, and the farm itself, all came through unscathed.
now we just need this fuker to keep headin nw instwead of n.east, and we'll be fine. I'll settle for due north at 10 mph, and we all be just fine....
may have a f'n rain out on my 20,000th post and commemorative video.....
was all set to have my a babe and I sitting by the pool, her in a micro-thong, me stark fukkin' naked......
oh well.... we'll see....Comment -

#93Can someone let PO69 know that if he needs to evacuate there are systems in place where you can shelter your animals as opposed to just leaving them to die like he did during KatrinaComment -

#97SYDNEY (AP) — Rice University football players are using social media to check on news from Texas and Hurricane Harvey as they prepare for their season opener against Stanford on Sunday in Sydney.
The Houston university tweeted out a video with Owls coach David Bailiff reflecting on the team's experience with Hurricane Ike in 2008, which was the last significant hurricane to make landfall in the state and which devastated the Upper Texas coast.
"This morning we made sure all the coaches and their families ... we reached out to them to let them know where to go, who has generators and who hasn't," Bailiff said in the video. "We are trying to ease the anxiety of the coaching staff and the players."
Rice football spokesman Chuck Pool said Saturday that the university's travel partners were monitoring the situation concerning the team's return to the United States on Monday. The team is scheduled to leave Sydney early Monday morning for Los Angeles, with a short layover scheduled there before flying on to Houston.
"Meanwhile, we just focus on getting the team ready for tomorrow," Pool saidComment -

#104We just got fukking hammered in Houston. Tornado warning just ended (cell phones were going crazy). Took in over a foot this morning and another foot in the last hour. Bunch of folks in Sienna Plantation with roof damage and flooding. Bunch of flooding a few neighborhoods on the west side, Meyerland, Westbury. Tornado hit The Berry Center. My satellite was down for about 2 hours but just cleared up in time for the fight.
Anybody on the roads right now is insane. High water all over the city. Huge bands encompassing the city. Stay indoors folks. We're in for several more days of this shit.Comment -
