Lines also aren't as sharp as they will be 5 weeks in, there is always some iffy lines that can be exploited if you do your homework

yeah, but there is a greater value in knowledge of teams to work with
than there is in picking a loose line that is loose for a reason.

in games where I spend actual time and effort capping
the line is of no concern. I'm sure you've heard of the approach
to cap then look at the line... it's actually a deep question in handicapping,
what comes first. the line places an assumption in your head which is
difficult to eliminate from the visualization process.

It's only a deep question for subjective cappers, who have very little chance of winning long term, save the few talented ones.

Objectively handicapping will eliminate this "question" and keep things much more grounded, whether you've seen the line or not.

Don't use emotions to handicap, especially if you are trying to visualize something...and being influenced by the line while handicapping is emotional. Allowing the line to influence the decision to bet is not the same thing.

It's a game of numbers and numbers is the game.

I just love how everyone can't wait for razor sharp NFL lines like it's so easily beatable, I've said it before and I'll say it again...Soccer is where the best value is and it's not even close

KVB, it's no secret that most cappers simply work off the line, trust the line,
think in terms of the line, base their money management against repetitive ATS
betting, and stare at the line movement as a predictive indicator.
These are long-term losing methods, we agree.
