Sacramento Kings Making Free Agent Moves
The Kings and free agent point guard George Hill have reached an agreement on a three-year, $57MM contract, reports Shams Charania of The Vertical.

The Kings will sign Zach Randolph to a two-year, $24MM deal, tweets Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com. Both seasons are fully guaranteed, according to David Aldridge of TNT.

Today’s signings of Randolph and George Hill leave the Kings with $25.3MM in cap space, posts Bobby Marks on ESPN Now. That will be cut further by the upcoming addition of Bogdan Bogdanovic, who is expected to get $27MM over three years. That doesn’t leave enough for a reported max offer to Otto Porter, so the Kings may have decided to move in a different direction.

In addition to what he provides on the court, Randolph can serve as a mentor to the Kings’ young big men, Willie Cauley-Stein, Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere. For Memphis, it’s the latest move away from their grit-and-grind tradition as veteran guard Tony Allen is also considered unlikely to return.

There were 269 players with at least 300 field goal attempts last season. LaVine's 38.3 FG pct ranked 256th among them.

Why would they sign Hill and LaVine for 3 and 4 years when they have 2 young good guards (Heild and Fox) they need to develop?
Are they going to start everyone 25 minutes a game again like last year and be top 3 worst teams in the the league? Who is ever making these calls needs to be fired.

The Bulls will match Sacramento’s offer sheet to Zach LaVine and keep him in Chicago.

Thompson and Green are the outlier, not George. it's not like you can out and replicate GSW team/salaries ........ it's like when people say "how can you pay XXXXXX $20MM when lebron/durant make $30MM?". those guys "only" make $30MM because of the salary cap.

It's because of timing. GST timed it perfectly with these two & the escalating cap. They'll get theirs next yr. The reason GST is in the position they r is because of Curry's early career ankle injuries. Kept his salary lower, signed the team friendly multi-yr deal that he grotesquely outperformed while simultaneously overcame the ankle problem. Timed the Klay & Draymond contracts perfectly & allowed them to snag Durant just as cap was rising.
