Never trust anyone that doesn't drink. Good rule to live by. People that are so angry against drinking have serious issues. And not everybody drinks to escape reality whatever the fuk that means. Things are still real when your drinking. You sound like an AA person.

its not about escaping reality...it creates an alternate reality...figured this out when i was 15 at my family chrisms party. I was too old to give a fk about christmas and too young to realize socializing with family members was important...had a blast catching my first buzz, made the party tolerable

It is unhealthy.

We act like complete idiots while we're doing it.

We burn Bridges with family and loved ones.

It is expensive.

It can lead to legal consequences.

That being said I love to drink. The only days I don't drink are the days I'm hungover from the night before and even on those days I usually still have a couple beers.

There's definitely some very strange draw to drinking, go to any downtown area on a weekend night and it will be packed with young drunk people.

Very good business also people can't get their money out fast enough to buy alcohol no matter how much it costs.
