Lump-summed both of them and had them transferred directly into my Fidelity account thus avoiding taxation..... Someday, perhaps?
I have Fidelity and they are not setup to take crypto... yet. They did send me a letter, asking if I would disclose how many BTC's I had and that they would track it for me for free. Yeah, screw that. They've partnered with CB but I still don't know what the hell they're trying to do.

Golden State minority owner Chamath Palihapitiya said on CNBC that he put all his BTC's in his 401k. I'm not sure how he did it but that's what he said. I do not think you can "shoot" any money into a 401k or Roth Ira without first paying the capital gains. You were able to send your pensions because that's always allowed.

Now that you mention it, they must have just added it. I bought some there on 12/24 but I forgot that it used to not be on Binance.

This might not be a bad idea. One that I thought of... BUT Most crypto are owned by Asians and do they care about capital gains? The few here in the US seem to be long holders anyway, so that may not be the factor everyone is expecting. I think it's a good idea just to dollar cost average and buy on dips as you often as you can. I think at least 5% of your portfolio should be in crypto (1% for those that are skeptical). But, I am a believer in the technology. I haven't written a check in 3 years (someone writes checks on my behalf at times). I haven't balanced a checkbook in years. I don't think any of our kids are going to have checkbooks either. This generation will buy into digital much quicker than we are. I think 20 years from now, crypto will be as common as the internet. So, I don't mind buying at any level right now because we won't see any lower levels ever again.

OK. Well, I think the important word there is "yet". I think the only thing that would prevent them from doing this (eventually) is Uncle Sam. He wouldn't like it at all. Lose your a$$ and uncle doesn't care. Gain something and he cares a lot.

That is just an add-on feature at the Fidelity website. Harmless (I think). When you log into the Fidelity website, go to your portfolio and on the left side is an "add non-Fidelity accounts" button. Click on it and they will link into your Coinbase wallets. I try to not keep anything in the Coinbase wallets for very long and haven't figured out a way to turn the Fidelity feature off. So, in the end it's kind of useless ...they do include those wallets in your portfolio's net worth calculation in the upper left....

I turned this on when I got the letter, but now it's gone. Maybe I turned it off and don't remember. Is yours still showing up?

Binance account at an all time high fellas. Been waiting for a trx spike to dump some after loading up for that contest travesty. Any reason for their jump, as in should I hold off a bit?

Yes, still there and I can't figure out how to turn it off. It shows just a bunch of zeroes, now, because I'm mostly using a personal desktop wallet....

i was too late for the contest as i just got in with binance only last week. I was thinking about buying 50-75k in TRON since friday why do u want to get rid of them.

I just have too much. Don't want things to be too heavy outside of ada.

Edit - Goddammit, it got to where I wanted to sell at the time of my first post and now back down. I'm so bad at this.

Monero/zcash dipping while btc rising. I retract being bad at this, my plan is coming together perfectly. Pretty happy I didn't die this morning.

Ridiculously over simplistic approach with no historical basis. Pick a different starting point and the results will vary dramatically.
