Not Proud of this but its a lesson to all
Let me say I am not proud of the following story but mayebe it will help out a newbie or any of my bros who ever thought about using a paid tout service, As a telephone tech I used to get access to customers phone lines. In other words I could get on a random phone line from a neighborhhod cross box and dial out. Follow so far good! about 10 years ago when I was sorta new to the whole gambling game I used to see these touts on saturday morning scream and give out there pick line numbers and guarnatee winners for only $20.00 a call. I had a bad weekend and my bankroll was down so I said why not call on a customers line and get " a professionals insight" and get 5 winners, hell the random phone customer will get billed $20.00 call when he gets his bill and dispute the charge mean while Ill get 5 winners for the weekend and make some serious $$$$$ . So I tapped onto the random line called the 976# and this recorded message gave me 5 plays on both bases and football. I had about 1500.00 in my account and I played all 5 games using 100 units. in other words my entire bankroll. Guess what happened I went 0-4 and had one more game a MNF game Dallas vs Seattle. Well lost that one too went 0-5 lost my bankroll and my season was over before October (one thing about me when Im tapped Im done still practice that to this day) anyways I call the same tout the next day yeap another $20.00 and the recording said he went 4-1 the day before. Guys these m fers are no more a sharp than the next guy NEVER EVER use a TOUT they are sharks who prey upon the naive and desperate. Thats a lesson Ill take to the grave and hope u newbies learn by. serves me right for doing that to customers.

100% of touts give 2 sides to one game

They use tricky wording and early in the week give Florida and the end of the week they give Arkansas

dont really know Im sure they were billed but back then the phone company was real leaniant on 1st time customer complaints and usually waived the fee providing the customer put a block on those type of calls.

Thats a terrible story HB. I hope the SBR readers think twice about using a tout service after reading that.

If you want a tout service. Go find your favorite coin, and give a team a side of the coin, and flip away. You will have the same success going that route, and its free.

                          Thanks for sharing Happy.

That sounds like a plot for a My Name Is Earl show..bad Karma. It was probably a kids phone line who's father called him a liar when he said he didn't make the call. The fight lead to a broken family and the kid lives in the woods. You have to find him and give him back his 20 bucks! You will then go 5-0 on 3-teamers.

The funniest part is that HB phoned the tout, went 0-5, lost $1500 on the picks but still called the tout again the next day.

fortunately for you, you wouldn't have to ever consider calling a tout, because you never bet...

                                  I did something similiar.

I was a chef once upon a time and heard an ad for this Don (cant remember his last name). So I used the phone at work and got the pick. It was about 20 years ago but I still remember the pick Mich -17.5 over Indiana. They won 42-17 or so.

Thankfully they printed something obscure on the phone bill. The boss asked me what it was and I said it was a magazine subscription and that I thought they would bill me. Phew! He took the $10 out of my next check and I never called back.

I enjoy reading tout crapola to see what they are looking at. But actually paying for information that is public and bookie knowledge is not a smart investment.
