I brine it for 3 days then back soak it for a day. Need a knife to cut it.
People say my lutefisk is the best they've ever had.
Also, never boil it. People boil the piss out of it and it turns into jello. Just simmering hot water for 8-10 minutes. Butter ovah the top.Comment -

#46My ex-mother-in-law was English and when she was alive and young enough would do a full on traditional English xmas dinner... it was awesome and great memories, especially of her Yorkshire puds. But it really really does not fit the weather down here. lol.Comment -

#48Dangles let me show you what they eat, pal.
I got this in the mail last night from Singapore from a good buddy of mine (We know each other for over 20 years and play jokes on one another all the time).
Apparently this is a pretty popular dessert item in that neck of the woods right now.

All of it was magical, can almost taste it still now. As I said, 'weird' for what is usually a hot summer day. But really used to make Xmas special.
They say English food is rubbish usually but I bet no one does Xmas dinner better!.Comment -

#54She would start making that a week or so before. Hung it in a cloth bag. Hot with brandy butter. Mmmmm. Is that the same thing?

#62Coach it's a traditional Russian dish that dates back centuries.
Russian Blins (or how we say "Blini") are basically super thin pancakes. You can have them stuffed with meat, mushrooms, potatoes...or add some caviar, sour cream and chives on top.
Russian Blini with Beluga caviar are pretty common on some private high end events in NY and LA.
