I love wyoming tmrw. They have been very good to me so maybe I am partial. They have been a very good dog all year. My only concern is their rush defense- its really bad and byu's strength is running

good luck, Homie...I have BYU straight up in my college bowl contest...should be a good game with a slight edge to BYU because they are battle tested after having played one of the toughest schedules in the country....as far as QB's goes, Taysom Hill is overrated and over hyped and has always been injury riddled...his backup, Tanner Mangum is no slouch and is every bit as good if not better than Hill...He filled in quite admirably and put up some impressive numbers including the famous hail mary comeback against Nebraska after Hill got injured early last year and was done for the season...the Cougars will not miss a beat with him @ the helm and he's had ample time to prepare for Wyoming.

Might seem like alot of pts on the surface but over the course of the game prob not. Ive done well with Wyoming this year but they give up a crap ton of yards on the ground. Its Jamaal Williams last game and he should have a field day. I also like Mangum as a passer better than Hill, he just doesnt run like Hill. Prob make a pick closer to game time.

Was on BYU even before I saw this thread.
Just a better team across the board, except at QB, but Allen does turn the ball over at very inopportune times.
Wyoming can't stop teams that can run at all, and got most of their wins in the Mountain West. I'm impressed at their turnaround (coaching), but BYU is more than 10 points better than this team all day.

All of BYU's games this season, especially early, were very close.

I bet BYU -9.5 before line hit double-digits. Not only were the four BYU losses by 1, 3, 3 and 1 point respectively, but they came vs. West Virginia, Utah, Boise State and UCLA, all of whom would be favored over Wyoming. Cougars started pummeling teams when schedule finally started getting easier.

Yeah, but all of those teams were better than Wyoming, until they got to the last 3, and they blew all of those teams out.

....and I just repeated what LT said pretty much. My bad.
I think too having a better passing QB in there will help, since Williams is just fine on his own when it comes to rushing. Mangum is pretty legit. I would be legit vs Wyoming's defense.

Mangum family is very prominent in SLC. They may have pulled some strings on this game.

That defense is suspect. Proceed with caution.

I agree that BYU has a slight edge here, but why make stupid statements like: "his backup...is every bit as good if not better than Hill..." Who made you the HC? If he was better, he would be the starter.

You mean BYU? Oh trust me I know, Ive harped on them all year, they suck actually and I have no idea how they were always in close nailbiters, they should have been outright losing. Slow team defense.

BYU is the play here. Wyoming's rush defense is horrible. Look for BYU to get the early lead and pound Wyoming with the run and wear em down.
Wyoming gave up 69 points to UNLV and 56 points to NEW MEXICO!!
BYU will get several defensive stops against Wyoming.

do you even bother watching football?...why do you always make boneheaded comments?...if you saw any BYU games last year, Mangum started the majority of them and did very good after Hill got injured and was done for the year..not only that, but both of them had a heated battle during training camp and spring ball and the only reason Hill got the nod was probably because he is a senior...the decision was more sentimental than anything else....the fact that I'm telling you this shows me that you are indeed full of caca.

There are so many reasons why this is not necessarily true. I think there was great debate here with BYU and these two.
While it can be true that a team with two QB's has no QB, there can be different game plans for different QB's. BYU chose a starter, but both quarterbacks can do there jobs just fine, without question.
Edit: just saw Manster's post with good detail on the QB situation in BYU. Both guys deserve the start.
