Play the Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks Tonight, 11-30-16

Miami is dinged up bad. They only scored 31 first half points the other night against Boston. Denver is no place to be playing short handed. The Nuggets will run them out of the building in the thin air. Right now Denver is laying 6. I'll lay it.

The Atlanta Hawks are finishing up a 5 game west coast road trip. They won the first, but then dropped 3 in a row. Tonight is their easiest game, playing the 5-13 Phoenix Suns. Look for the Hawks to return home to Hotlanta in a good mood. Lay the 5.5.

"Lay the Points" basically means give up the points or take the team with the -6, for example. It is really just slang - that's funny it's different where you are.

When betting exchanges were introduced over here, you say you can either bet the Hawks or lay them. I guess it does mean fade, both side of the atlantic... lay the points = lay the team with the 'inverted handicap' ...i think
