Yes, they're the better team, and I took Ohio in a teaser, but they don't need to win this game to win the MAC East, as all they have to do is beat Akron at home next week to clinch (or have Miami lose to Ball St.). Granted, beating Akron, even at home, is not a cinch by any stretch, but at least they know they have a game in had, whereas Central Michigan is playing their last home game of the year, and they need 1 more win out of their last two to become bowl eligible (MAC teams never get picked for bowls with only 5 wins, ever). So while I agree that Ohio is a better team, there's no way they have any "motivational" edge in this game.Comment -

Watching this unfold I was wondering why Ohio with a timeout and well over 2 minutes to go totally abandoned the run and screen game to go strictly to a drop back pass game with a QB who had one good throw all game. I mean CMU was 100% selling out rushing the passer, a screen or any type of draw play would have been easy chunks of yards. Sometimes I wonder if the OC of these teams is even watching game

Totally agree undie. 1st and ten from the 13 yard line with one timeout and 150 to go and they threw the ball 4 times. A qb draw would have easily got 5 yards just like it did when they ran it at midfield. Both defensive ends were coming hard up the fieldComment -
Ya, terrible play selection especially when you only needed to pick up 3 yards a play on 4 downs to get inside the 3 yard line which would have been good for another set of downs and 4 more chances to punch it in with plenty of time remaining. Made zero sense to panic but that's the MAC for youComment
