Terrible news and a day before the OSU-Michigan game. He also nearly collapsed taping that same show a couple of weeks ago.

Do you think this will turn the public and bring the line down, a little extra motivation for Michigan to win one for the gipper

Best Bo line of all time was when he was still the athletic director and Bill Frieder took the ASU job and said "Ill coach out the season" and Bo said "Like hell you will. You're fired."

When asked in the press briefing why he didn't let Frieder finish the season, he said "I want a MICHIGAN man coaching MICHIGAN, not an ARIZONA STATE man."

          Classic.

The seven-time Big Ten coach of the year had a 194-48-5 record at Michigan from 1969-89. His record in 26 years of coaching was 234-64-8.

Very impressive coaching resume. Only blemish was he never won a national title.

Despite all of the coaching changes at the two schools over the years, I still have visions of Shembechler and Hayes on the sidelines when thinking of this year's game.

Condolences to his family and friends, and to the UM fans.

Bo never won big games, very overrated coach, choked in the big games, too conservative but a Michigan legend no doubt and will be missed. I hope they name the stadium after him.

I'm just wondering what type of emotional effect might play into this game. The kept saying on tv today that Schembechler was very close with the current football players on this team.

He had a good run. If you make it to 70s and got to do things you liked, like football, I would say as good a life as any. RIP.

I wonder if he got three wishes.
