FS1 Has Record-Setting Night As Cubs Clinch Trip To NLCS
It was an incredible turn of events late in the game on Tuesday night. Down 5-2 heading into the top of the 9th, the Chicago Cubs amassed four runs and closed out a stunned Giants team hoping for a decisive Game 5 at Wrigley Field.
The broadcast pushed FS1 to its most-watched telecast in the network’s history, pulling an average audience of 6,368,000 viewers, according to fast national figures released today by Nielsen Media Research.

The game eclipsed the prior record viewership for FS1 of 6,368,000 viewers for Game 5 of last season’s ALDS between the Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals, the network’s previous record holder, by +7% (vs. 5,944,000 viewers). Last night’s NLDS clincher is up +62% over 2014’s NLDS Game 4 between the San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals that aired in the late window on FS1 (vs. 3,921,000 viewers).

Could be worse, the games could be on tape delay and shown late. When I was a kid the NBA Championship games weren't shown live unless you lived in one of the Final's team city. For most of the country it was tape delayed and shown after the local evening news.

You can also port your ipad to a tv and watch. So many ways to watch these game other than cable Nowadays. Paying for cable is wasteful until they let us choose specific channels we want without throwing in 100 channels no one watches.

Out of curiousity, they let you have a phone/iPad at the table? I haven't played live in ages but they wouldn't let phones at the table in fear of somebody running an app like poker stove
