My Dad used to bring these home every week, once he handed me one and told me to make 10 picks, hit 9 out of 10 for the consolation 20 bucks! Every week after that he had me fill one out but never got close again. The good old days!

Hilarious that supposed intelligent gamblers talking about parlay cards as the good ol days.

Today's options are so much better in all respects. The good old days were not so good. I have been stiffed for 5k from a local books twice in the 80's... I swore it off until the offshore option became available. I have never been stiffed by 5D or BetCris.

The good ol days are a psychological play. You don't think the parlay cards are better than the options now... you are recalling a younger time in your life when you were care-free and having good times. My kids 20 years from now will call this period the good ol days... my parents think the late 60's were the good ol days. My grandpa is no longer with us, but for him the 40's were the good ol days.

BTW I don't ever play any parlays, even with the good odds - not even a 2-teamer. I know the odds are very high I will go 1-1 and I would much rather push a limited juice play and retain my bankroll. Nothing but straight plays for me. I went 4-1 last night and I hope to do the same tonight. These are the good ol days, and next year will be better.

If you got stiffed by a local book, whose fault was that? The off shore books will rip you off just like your local book will, and as usual, there is NOTHING you can do about it. At least that is what many people say. For those of you who obviously never seen a parlay or teaser card, the home teams are in Caps.

I fill one out every week....usually a 3 teamer I'm catching an extra 3-5 points with.....ties lose.....not the worst lol..
