    Wong Teasers - NFL
    Hey guys,

I can get 6 point NFL teasers at even money through a local. Are these still good bets? I would only be picking home dogs (+1.5-2.5) and Home Favorites (-7.5-8.5).

    Thoughts on this?

Are only Wong Teasers +EV? IE teasing a team from 4-10 probably not as much value?

Wong teasers and usually -6.5 favorites. Other than that, not really, teased points are usually not worth the cost.

True -8.5 down to -2.5 is ideal.

Does anyone have any data on Wong Teasers over the last few years?

Home teams vs. Road teams etc.

                    Thanks!

Don't know how sharp your guys lines are but most books have some teaser protection built in to the lines nowadays. When's the last time you saw a -2.5 fav in the NFL? They've known about this for a long time.

the question is do you lose on ties? teasers in the 70's were 6 pts, no juice, but lose on ties. then of course they went to juice on 6, 6.5, 7 pointers and push on ties. now they try to protect themselves against the wong by fooling around with the lines. they don't like throwing out the 2 1/2 for fear of everyone taking the dog up to that nice spot of 8 1/2. but as long as they have players teasing through zero they have no worries. by all means only play "wongs" if you must tease. much better percentage with the underdog than subtracting down the favorite.

Interesting that the the 2.5 teased up has a better % than the 8.5 down. Yeah - on these ties push but don't lose. There's actually a good amount of 2.5/1.5's this week:

                          Dallas +2.5 in Pittsburgh
                          Titans +2.5 home to GB
                          Denver +2.5 at NO
                          Rams +2 at NYJ

I've hit a good amount of Wong teasers this year although I have stuck mainly to the home teams that are teasable and stayed away from road teams. I have also had some good results teasing road dogs through the 10 mainly using +4.5. If you are playing teasers online GT Bets still pays +180 on 6 pt 3 teamers.

Ive done some research on this. 6 pt 3 teamers at +180 are ideal. The problem, as someone pointed out, is that the lines are often shaded so it doesnt cross key numbers in a tease. 5d shades their lines ALL the time

no half pt teasers are going to push obviously. but the question to you was do you lose on ties with your local with that no juice 6pt'r. if you do (lose on ties) they are not good bets.

Tie and Win = PushTie and Loss = Loss

Great yeah. Basically trying to see if there's a better % for home vs. road teams when getting through both key numbers.

I used BookMaker Closing line for this year for any teams that closed +1.5 to +2.5...I'm sure a lot of these moved during the week:

                                          Teasing up 6 points:

                                          Home Dogs: 9-2
                                          Road Dogs 7-1

                                          Pretty crazy.
