Sure as fukk don't see it on the news every time a white person is shot by police, don't see white folk marching in the damn streets every time someone looks at us cross eyed and blame it on the race card. I do believe that a lot of blacks get stereotyped by police, but when 85% of the black race fit the stereotype, I guess its no longer considered a stereotype more real life. There are lots of great black folks, but the majority are worthless dope slangin, baby factory, living on fukkin welfare, no job having, criminals that burden our tax system with all the free shit they get. If they didn't act like fukkin animals, the majority of police (white/black/brown or purple) wouldn't treat them like one.

Calls to 911 From Black Neighborhoods Fell After a Case of Police Violence

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee residents were outraged when they learned, about three months after the fact, that a biracial man at a party had been severely beaten by several white off-duty police officers also in attendance. The man, Frank Jude, was left with a broken nose, bruises and severe bleeding in his ears, a result of having pens pushed into them.

The attack, which took place in October 2004 and came to light after an article in The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, prompted protests. In the fallout, nine officers were fired by the Milwaukee Police Department; three were eventually convicted on federal charges of violating Mr. Jude’s civil rights.

It also, according to new research, led to a drop in 911 calls in Milwaukee notifying the police of crimes.

The lag between Mr. Jude’s beating and its becoming widely known created a particularly good natural experiment for a team of sociologists interested in learning whether mistrust of the police can play a role in a community’s reluctance to report crimes. The results may also influence debate over the effect that wider dissemination of instances of police violence, which can now be recorded on cellphone video and spread quickly via the internet, might have on fighting crime.

Trayvon Martin's Parents to Release Book Next Year

The parents of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen fatally shot in 2012 by a neighborhood watch volunteer, have a book coming out on Jan. 31.
Spiegel & Grau announced Wednesday that it will release "Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin," by Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. The book, narrated alternately by the mother and father, will tell of Trayvon's "life and struggles, his tragic death, and the transformative movement for justice" that he inspired, according to Spiegel & Grau, a Penguin Random House imprint.

Martin's parents also will share the "grief and confusion" they have endured and how they contended with an "indifferent system" as they struggled to make sense of what happened.
