I remember when the 9/11 attacks occurred...I was early for class my junior year in high school...was getting food and everything got shut down..the announcement was made that we needed to head into the auditorium....no one had a clue what was going on...they showed us live...and I don;t think anyone said a word for about 30 minutes....ever since that day I have donated to the 911 memorial....and say a prayer to all the families still struggling...God bless

to me, the way we have exploited and commercialized 9-11 has bastardized its true meaning and I find it hypocritical and disgusting...I tell my family, friends, etc. that I'm damn proud to be American (Greek/Italian Heritage) 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24/7!......everyone should feel this way...ditto for holidays like July 4th, Memorial day, Veterans day, etc!...just like when I play christmas carols in the summertime and people look at me like I'm nuts and I tell them that I worship our lord and savior Jesus Christ everyday of the year not just once or twice!...(Christmas and Easter)....

I was a young infantry pup when the attacks happened and I answered the call as many others that day. Much love and respect to those who serve and my thoughts to all those that lost their lives on that day.
