The then made the mice begin to suffer from withdrawals and gave them the option of either the cocaine or the sugar.

Gateway my ass JJ. It's only a gateway if you let it be one. It's like anything else, I have smoked for years and I don't wake up thinking hmmmm, I should probably do some crack or meth today. To me it's a weak ass attempt to heavy users to justify how they ended up a junkie.
Alcohol will penetrate your life up more than any bong hit or joint. I guarantee more people have tried hardcore drugs while drunk than while stoned on weed. I have smoked weed since I was 18, at no point did I think to myself I should probably smoke some crack or jab a needle in my arm. I call bullshit. Junkies would have got to that point without weed but it's just easier to blame the weed than having to admit to yourself the truth.

I don't think weed is anymore of a gateway drug then Alcohol is... I know I didn't turn to the needle after smoking a little weed.. I also know I didn't turn to hard liquor abuse after having a few beers or a couple of glasses of red wine with dinner....

luckily I have good insurance so I am not anywhere near caught up for the ~20k a 14 hour ER-bed stay is(plus every fukking test you can imagine)
