Weber 9 years left in his contract. Past his prime. Hall needed a change of scenery. Toronto couldn't lure Stamkos which I love.

Rumors don't really mean shit cause they're just that. Having said that, I heard on sports talk a couple days ago that the Blues tried making a deal with Elliott and Shattenkirk as the centerpieces to Edmonton for Hall or Eberle as the centerpiece and they declined. Then they trade Hall for Larsson. So apparently Edmonton either really covets Eberle, really doesn't like Shatty or they don't want to improve their situation in net. Kinda bizarre cause Edmonton needs to improve on D and net bad.

Heard Montreal fans didn't like Subban because of his skin colour.
Great defense man.
Fyi a player staying on the same team isn't a trade. Ex. Stamkos staying in Tampa

You're an idiot.
Subban is a playmaker and heavy two-way player, which was frustrating some of the forwards as they wouldn't know what he would do on a rush, when they were trying to play a dump-n-chase shift and all of a sudden he'd be going for a skate. They pick up a big d-man who can put up some points, and more importantly play some heavy tough minutes without blinking. Nashville gets some potent offense in their backfield. Kind of makes sense, but I still think MTL got hosed on the trade. Was hoping to see Subban in TOR but oh well.

I think that was a good move for them, the cap space probably more important to clear up.

Good trade for Montreal in my opinion, they give up too many shots and scoring opportunities and have needed this type of defenseman for along time and save 1M+ on the salary cap.

A disgruntled Montreal Canadiens season ticket holder says they will only be attending one game this season — when the Habs take on P.K. Subban's new team.
In a full page newspaper ad, which costs roughly $20,000, the self-described "lifelong fan" said the trade that sent Subban to the Nashville Predators for Shea Weber this summer has changed the way they feel about the team.
"Now, I feel anger, disappointment and embarrassment over the treatment of P.K. Subban by team management: the same sentiments that many felt after the Patrick Roy trade," reads the ad posted in Thursday's Montreal Gazette, signed by "Dr. CK and Family."
"You are an amazing and influential role model for my children and I am going to miss not having you as a Montreal Canadien."
