So what's the answer? Is he a natural-born citizen?

Why would the case cost the taxpayers $4 million? It's prosecuted by an individual and defended by Cruz.

And your definition seems to be precisely in line with who is a CITIZEN. But don't the additional words "natural born" have to mean something. Or is it just meaningless superfluous verbiage? What is the difference between a "citizen" and a "natural born citizen"?

Cruz was elected to the senate, Texas of all places, as having a Canadian citizenship. Just before he ran for Pres,
he got a US citizenship. Running for Senate and Pres with a different citizenship are two different things.

Cruz's mother was born here. Cruz was born in Canada. We'll see what the court says.

I'm very much on the fence with Cruz (it's either him or a Libertarian), can you explain through his voting record in the Senate how he is "establishment"? I understand he and his wife's background, just can't understand how no one in Washington likes him if he is so "establishment". Just looking for help, sure as hell don't know all the answers...

Because he's a creepy douche. No one liked him before he got to Washington either.

Both are former Bush policy advisors, he got big money from big banks for that Senate run, big money from oil companies and big banks for this presidential run, both worked on foreign trade policies, I just dont see how he cannot be.

If Cruz was actually the Constitutional originalist he says he is, he would remove himself voluntarily as being ineligible. But as usual, he's a hypocrite. I believe he's eligible based on the evolution of what Natural Born has come to mean, but it didn't mean that in 1776 and was not the intent of the framers.
