#16Release of Dopamine is what he craves. Same euphoria he craved when addicted to heroin. Same feeling people addicted to their cell phones crave. His gambling woes probably not about making money.......it's how he feels when he's at the track placing a bet. Winning bets just amp it up even more. This Dopamine Rush is for real. Read about it.Comment -

You do not need to know anyone on the backside to win long term at the races. What you do need is patience, or control, a solid work ethic, and an understanding with yourself that you might spend several hours or more looking and learning in anticipation of a wager, but that wager never comes. It's the players that can not make a play all day, if one does not exist, that can win.
For the vast majority of people, they want to go to the races and bet the races. Nothing wrong with that, but it needs to be seen as entertainment, like going to the movies or something like that. Maybe you win, probably you lose some, but keep it manageable and within budget. That's what smart fans do.
It's the people that go to the track, bet too much in accordance with what they can afford and their level of knowledge that lose too much. Then, they blame the game or stable sharps, ( again, a crock of crap 99% of the time), for having an edge or cheating.
It's a shame that bettors constantly fool themselves into thinking their mistakes, and or shortcomings are brought on by others.Comment -

#25While a very small % of people that "are in the know" from stable talk actually win money long term, the vast majority of those types lose. That is mainly due to the fact that most people on the backside have no clue how to bet, or why to bet or not bet. They just think they do. As a rule of thumb at the track, and most places for that matter, the louder and more arrogant they are, the dumber they are.
