no question that one was rigged. Marrero is 35 he must be hooked with Spanish groups.
Arruabarrena is only 23 she has a more serious career to lose so if someone would look
into who made the mistakes we can have an answer as to whether they worked together
or if it was Marrero acting alone. All it takes is 1.

The poor guys just wanted to tank and collect some appearance cash and are now considered fixers.
if you're going to tank you should be stopped from playing.
tankers don't deserve "appearance cash". it is ripe ground for corruption.

one way to fix this is penalize players points for bagels and breadsticks.
maybe the point system needs to be reforumulated to protect the sport's
shattered integrity. if nothing changes we could see blackouts on tennis gambling
        from more and more books.

I remember that Fed Davydenko match at the Aussie open about 5 years ago. I don't know if that was fixed, because he really looked like he was trying to win. Just got flustered. I doubt he would fix a major with the purse being what it is. However, Davydenko fixed another match that was pretty much proven and nothing was done. He has ties to the Russian mafia. So who knows, maybe they made him fix the Fed match too.

You gotta laugh. They suspended it due to suspicious betting activity. Not because it's fixed. The have no problem leaving alone fixed matches otherwise. Nothing new...

There's a youtube out there of a mafia guy giving him a lift to Roland Garros.

It's not exactly surprising, all the top Russian guys who played in the early/mid 2000s did - that's not some daft conspiracy theory either, they admitted it to the media.

Heard some believe its just a publicity stunt, no big action on this match in other books... no doubt some matches could be fixed but some believe this book just wanted to throw their name for some cheap publicity with all the stories in the mainstream press.

I'll take "no" on both props for the max Alex. Except that I don't like tying up dollars that I can churn for the rest of this year.

I would also think no, but it's pointless to tie up money for 11 months on a -1200 or -1000 play.

Im looking for a decent tennis player in the 200-400 rankings playing in ITFs and Challengers against >500 opponents who is highly favored and easily persuaded. Lets create a group and spread the money out over >20 books creating no suspicion with smaller bets. Anyone have any leads?
