I like Eli as a person and a player. As a chicago fan, I'd gladly take 2 SB's from Jay Cutler, or even just another playoff appearance at this point...

He is definitely a hall of famer. How many QB's have won more than one superbowl? How many have not missed a game in their entire NFL career? So, he throws pics, so what. By the time he is done his yards and TD's will be up there with everyone else.

Only 6 QB's have thrown for more than 50,000 yards in NFL history and only 7 have thrown over 300 touchdowns. Eli will pass 50,000 definitely in the next 2 seasons and will pass 300 in week 2 this year. Hey, is he doofy lookin at times? Yes! Is he a hall of famer? Yes! Any Questions???

Eli.... getting respect? Didn't expect to see this when I opened the thread.

Eli has what you want in a quarterback. Countless 4th quarter comebacks, has never missed a game, quiet but strong leader (ask any Giants player ever not named Tiki), 8-3 and pretty phenomenal overall in the playoffs, and has dominated the NY media more than almost anyone before him. Yeah he isn't the most dominant regular season quarterback like his brother or Brady which you can fault him for, but he was dealing with a horrible O-line in 2013-2014 (ala Luck). Yes very inconsistent at times and sometimes maddening as a Giants fan, but steps it up when it matters most.

I think now is the time to hop on the Giants to win the Super Bowl at 32/1. The offense which has been pretty stellar since Mcadoo and Odell arrived 2 years ago should only improve with Cruz (if 80% of what he was will still be an upgrade over Randle) and 2nd rd pick Sterling Shepard (who has been raved about at mini camp) at the wideout position. O-line should be solid and better than last year, and if they sign Eugene Monroe (which I bet they will) to firm up the right side than the offense has top 5 potential for sure.

And defense (which was as bad as it gets last year) will certainly be improved after the multiple big money FA signings (DE, DT, CB). Yes they definitely have some holes at LB and safety but really all the defense has to be is middle of the pack and I think the Giants will be poised for the playoffs. Hell if last year's 32nd ranked defense could stop all those team from driving down their throats in the final 2 minutes to blow the game, the Giants may had very well made the playoffs. They lost 5 games in which they led in the last 2 minutes.

Biased but see clear value in the Giants this year. I'll take over 8 wins to the bank.

Well said Stringer. Eli will always be an easy target for criticism having a doughy, awkward persona and older brother by the name of Peyton. However, when you look at the numbers and the fact that he is the only one to beat Brady TWICE on the biggest stage, his hof status is undeniable.

Not sure about the Super Bowl future but I'm all over Giants over 8 wins this season

Firing the most competent individual in the whole organization in Tom Coughlin and coddling to a team full of sh*theads?

Where can I bet 7 wins or less? It's a lock.

Giants as a franchise are playing with the kind of franchise fire that can easily lead to a decade of underperformance.

All those come backs are from him not doing his job the first 3 quarters and relying on the defense.

Yep relying on that defense that finished dead last in yards per game allowed (420), and third worst in points (27.6 per game).
