Carolina will cover on Wofford

No much needs to be said here, UNC has put up 91 ppg thru the first two games and now they play Wofford who relies completely on the 3 ball (50% of their shot attempts in their first game were 3s) and is an aweful defensive team. They have zero size to answer for rebounding with or stopping any of UNCs Frontline from scoring and attacking the offensive boards. I don't like Woffords chances of covering at Chapel Hill.

I'm a huge Tar Heel fan. UNC's defense against the 3 pointer has been suspect. I can see a close game
early and then the Heels win by 18. I don't bet games involving them, but if I did, I would think that
Wofford can cover the 21.5.

Well considering the fact that Temple and Fairfield connected on 19 3s and lost by an average of 25.5 points really shows you they 3 balls by itself isn't going to get you very far if you can't rebound and defend the paint. Wofford has no one that can guard Meeks, Johnson, Hicks, or anyone else for that matter. I think the only player they have over 6 foot 7 doesn't even play. So when Missouri dominates Wofford on the boards and in the paint, what do you think is going to happen at Chapel hill. If Wofford shooters aren't hitting a large percentage from downtown they will be down 20 in a blink of an eye.

Roy doesn't stop until 1 minute left when he puts the scrubs in. I do agree with you that unc does play lax defense against teams like this but as like every other year offense is UNC's defense, let them hit or shoot a long range shot then run it down their throats on the other end. Unless Wofford hits 16 3s they won't score enough to cover. UNC will post another 90+ game especially when our front court is getting lay up after lay up. That Fairfield game was a prime example of little effort by unc and they still covered. I guess we shall see but if unc comes with their best Wofford be in trouble.

Not trolling just respectfully disagreeing. I will gladly come back and post whether Wofford covers or not. Don't like taking 23 point favorites in look ahead spots against a senior laden team that returns everyone except for Cochran. Granted he was the by far their best player but this team is experienced and will show up in this spot while i believe unc wont. UNC wins by 15-18. Best of luck.

I think they just need to hit 10-12 because they will do everything they can to slow down but you could be right. Best of luck should be a fun game to watch either way. On ESPN3 in case you were looking to watch it.
