Yep. Looks just like him. Signed with lsu and played for The Hat. The Hat recruited Sal to Colorado.

loved this documentary...I'm from San Diego(so was Aunese) and went to college for a year a Colorado so this story hit home with me. Awesome how the players rallied around Aunese in life and death and that game at Washington where the whole team took a knee and pointed to the sky the first game after he died was a powerful moment.

How is there not a movie about Aunese? Great player, great teammate and the guys on that team still hold him close to their hearts to this day.

All of that, but knocked up the coach's daughter. Not something the bible belt is willing to embrace. Still a black guy, knocking up a white girl. Not something hollywood and the public would be enthusiastic about.

Those 30 for 30 shows seem to translate the human emotion crossover well...

Is Hollywood going to produce a movie just for the state of Colorado or perhaps try to make to crossover into other regions? If its just for Colorado they won't waste their time, if its for everyone then count out the bible belt. They didn't show showgirls and monster's ball in theaters in the state of Alabama for very ugly reasons, so sal aunese would fall under that concept.

He was Samoan not black. Getting someone pregnant does not make you a bad guy. He was one of those people in life that everyone gravitates to, including the coach's daughter.

Maybe Samoan on the left coast, would be considered black in the south no matter where he is from or if he produced a birth certificate. Just the way it is in the south. There is white and then everything else. Coach's daughter caught hell during that time. Watch it and check it out. It was a huge scandal that Coach Mac brought to light during the show.
