Got away with just one run in the 4th inning, but needed 33 pitches to do it. Control is not too hot. Umpire practically gave him a low pitch that lead to a strikeout.

Texas has the WORST pitching of all the playoff teams. I would place more weight on that in a 4-of-7 series than regular season dominance. One move that I would make though is stick Kazmir in the bullpen and make Fiers the fourth stater, but that aside, nothing wrong with Beard, McHugh, McCullers vs. the remaining AL teams.

You're right about putting Fiers in. I just don't know if our bullpen can hold these leads like they did at the first of the season. Now if Chris Carter can kep hitting home runs like the one he just did, we might not have to worry too much.

I still like the pitching matchup in Houston's favor for Game 5 and I'd guess that Keuchel could be next in line in relief if necessary, which could make pen irrelevant.

I agree that if there is any starter on the Astros roster that I would want on the road, it would be McHugh. He can potentially give them 7-8 innings. I actually think the Astros will pull this game out. My problem is it does not matter how good their starters are, if they go against the Rangers or Blue Jays in a 7 game series. Eventually you have to go to your bullpen, and they will be the gasoline added to the fire of either of those lineups they would go up against. On top of that, if they play the Rangers, they lose some of their home field because Texas fans travel well. The bullpen will have to be addressed this off season. Goodbye Qualls, Perez, and possibly Fields. Need to find a true fireball closer, and put Gregerson back in the 8th inning.
