apparently Lions should have had the ball back first and goal from half foot out... illegal batting of the fumble out of bounds by Seattle not called. You have to recover it or it gets out of bounds while guys are diving on the ball trying to recover it. You can't just intentionally bat it out of bounds, which is exactly what Seattle did
