Did it not happen to FSU last year . They went into playoff as a #3 seed on a 27 game win streak

College football is odd this year. Because of the 4 team playoff teams know they can get in with a loss. That's why Ohio St doesn't give a shit and play like crap. Playoffs will make the regular season games worse. It's already happening.

Polls are a joke until atheist after 10-11 games when we see everyone's almost complete body do work. Osu hype is just an easy way to draw attention to the sport and keep people talking..This should be a year that really pushes the need for 8 team playoff by the end..

I wouldn't say they don't give a shit, but once you get to the top, it is easy to become complacent, especially with a non-conf schedule full of MAC schools. Not only that, but every team you play will be amped to go at you. These are college kids, not mature professionals.

A lot of the previous posters think Louisville is one of the best teams because they have covered ATS a few times this year. Of course that is what matters most when it comes to which team is number 1

If you are basing it on work then it should be Utah and Northwestern but then that still seems ridiculous so then you have to cast a vote with what you think is best total team based on talent and results and you get what you have today. The season doesn't end tomorrow so who cares.

Looking at all the teams this year, there is no clear #1 team, or even a few teams that stick out. There is about 10 teams that could win/lose against each other. But it isn't even halfway through the season, so I guess we will find out in a month or 2

Because they haven't had to dig deep. It's sort of like when you are challenged by your teenager. You only dig as deep as you need to. Urban is the best at being the best. They are ready to get the job done when needed. OSU doesn't need to do ANYTHING BUT KEEP WINNING. Just curious, who has the longest win streak in college football. ???
