Guys, Is It Me Or Are Refs Ruining The NFL?

It's always been my favorite sport in the world......but I find it harder and harder to watch because of the flags. No sooner does an exciting play happen when all of a sudden that cursed flag appears out of nowhere. They show the play again on replay and you shake your head and say WTF?!! These Dbag refs think people are buying tickets to see them blow whistles.

If it's not flagrant, don't call it!!!!!

And yes, I blame Goodell.

It really is outrageous. Id like to track all the punt returns one Sunday and see what percent have a block in the back called. It's almost automatic if the return is over like 8 yards. Shit sucks

not possible to even watch the no Fun League any more between the frame by frame replays on every play and the draft king commercials. you can gamble on it but not possible to watch it. maybe last 5 minutes of 4th Quarter if line in doubt...

Trust me I could care less about watching the game if I don't have any money on it. You probably lost a lot of bets on bad calls, it's happens. Especially if you ever bet on the NBA. The quality of watching the game has never been a factor to anyone here because all we care about is getting the W.

even the announcers make it a point to be like "no flags..."

because there generally is a flag. seems to be worse in certain college game. you get a crapshoot officiating crew who just likes to call holding closer than these kids are accustomed to, etc..

Pretty much why the Red Zone is the only way to watch. Tune into a game when it's close or interesting. TNF, SNF, and MNF are meant to be watched in bars with friends when you're not really paying attention.

I was at the bar last Saturday night. Was majorly hammered. Kept on checking the USC At Arizona State game. Every time I looked... one side of the score was going up. I thought I was dreaming. What an unusual game to watch periodically hammered.

they call BS but then seem to miss the obvious sometimes.. EX: DGB's TD catch for the Titans?

The refs have so much control over games now, but it is what it is, I choose to still watch for some reason, but nothing surprises me anymore.

Automatic first down flags create scoring. The more score the teams score the more cheering the stupid phucks that know nothing about the game or its origin can enjoy it. This was meant to be a battle of wills. Not some high flying bunch of ghetto skinny phucks running pass patterns and not get TOUCHED ! Fellas, they used to grab the facemask. If you was a Big Pucie and wore a facemask, the opponent would use it against you. If you tackled a guy and didn't hold him down for a few seconds, he could get up and run.
The games were brutal. Now its HD TVs, high flying, glamour hour bullshyt meant to appeal to the masses. The game has lost ALL manly, caveman attributes. When Dion Sanders got the D-player of the year award, I gave up hope the game would ever stop getting soft. Dion was scared to tackle, but had fan appeal with his speed and return abilities. He could swat a ball out of the air like no other. It doesn't make you a D-player of the year. Its all phucked up, but its what we got.
