#2662Millions of businesses have gone bankrupt. Some several times. Some now own sports teams and corporations you might even work for or support. The problem is, they aren't running for president and for the GOP so you guys don't care. Trump broke no laws. He took advantage of the system. He'd be foolish not to.
The Clintons scammed, lied and murdered to get into office once and now are trying a second time. But that is ok.

Trump wants to bring back trillions of money back to the US that companies have been hiding overseas because the tax implications to bring it back. He wants to tax hedge fund managers at a higher rate. He wants people that earn more to pay more. He want to lower corporate income tax (the highest in the world) to entice businesses to come back to the US. Fukk, if a democrat said these things, you would be all for it I bet.Comment -

#2664Dwight-the problem is that yr kind is holding this guy out-one who is nothing without his daddy's millions-as some kind of amazing businessman when he's had to rely on bankruptcy multiple times in order to salvage his companies that were wrecked through bad business decisions.

Is that they aren't pretending that they can run the country after failing to run personal businesses.Comment -

#2667lets see. Obama did nothing. Bush did nothing. No one in jail for causing the economic meltdown in 2008. Corporations are running the country I agree. But who has the power to stop it? But has done nothing to stop it? Who works for the people?

#2669he thinks he can. He has all the necessary traits to do the job. The most important ones anyway. The US just had 7 years of a first time senator and community organizer and how did that work out? No one person will become president and know everything about foreign policy, immigration, the economy etc. but if you have the leadership skills and the ability to hire the right people to take advice from, you have a great chance of winning. Wouldn't you agree?Comment -

The plan’s tax cuts include:
- Reduce the top personal income tax rate from 39.6 percent to 25 percent, and reduce the number of tax brackets from 7 to 3.
- Reduce the federal corporate income tax rate from 35 to 15 percent.
- Reduce the top tax rate on “pass-through” business income from 39.6 to 15 percent.
- Eliminate the 3.8 percent high-income surtax on unearned income that was enacted as part of President Barack Obama’s health care reforms.
- Eliminate the Alternative Minimum Tax, which was designed to ensure that the wealthiest Americans pay at least a minimal amount of tax.
- Increase the standard deduction to $25,000 for single filers and $50,000 for married couples.
- Eliminate the estate tax.
The plan also includes a few revenue-raising provisions:
- Phase out most itemized deductions and exemptions for high-income taxpayers more rapidly than under current law. Deductions for mortgage interest and charitable contributions would not be reduced.
- End the special tax break for the “carried interest” income enjoyed by hedge fund managers.
- End the deferral of income taxes on corporate income earned in other countries, and cap the deductibility of business interest expense.
- As a one-time revenue-raiser, Trump would impose a “deemed repatriation” tax of 10 percent (well below the 35 percent tax rate that should apply) on the more than $2.1 trillion in permanently reinvested offshore profits held by American multinationals.
- Trump also says his plan “reduces or eliminates other loopholes for the very rich and special interests…[and] some corporate loopholes that cater to special interests,” but gives no further details on these revenue raisers.

#2681ok so you are a young guy and you borrow some cash from your old man. You take it and stick in in the market for 40 years? Really? Work at 711 in the meantime? Deliver the paper? Pump gas? Its easy to look back after the fact and say what you could have done.
I guess it really depends on what you want to do. I would take the money and buy a boat and sail across parts of the world and travel. Maybe get bored after a few years or maybe not. He took it and hired thousands of people and built shit and built a brand that will likely last for generations.Last edited by DwightShrute; 12-18-15, 04:10 PM.Comment -

Trump's lead grows in post-debate poll
<article class="node-263752 node node-blogs view-mode-full clearfix" about="/blogs/ballot-box/polls/263752-trumps-lead-grows-in-post-debate-poll" typeof="sioc:Item foaf
Presidential candidate Donald Trump is enjoying his largest lead over the GOP field following Tuesday's presidential debate, a new poll finds.
The post-debate survey from <a href="http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2015/PPP_Release_National_121715.pdf" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 102); text-decoration: none; outline: none; font-weight: bold;">Public Policy Polling (PPP) released Friday shows the real estate mogul with 34 percent support nationally among GOP voters, up 8 points from a mid-November poll.
Trump's favorability has also grown. He's rated at 51 percent favorable, 37 unfavorable; an improvement over his 51-37 split in November.
“As the year comes to a close Donald Trump is just getting stronger,” Dean Debnam, president of PPP, said in a statement.
“His support for the nomination is growing but so is his overall favorability which suggests his ceiling could be higher than often assumed.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) sits in second place, with 18 percent support, followed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), with 13 percent. But Cruz’s lead grew 4 points since the November poll, while Rubio remains stagnant.
“Ted Cruz is getting stronger while Marco Rubio stays in place,” Debnam said. “There’s a long way to go but it’s become pretty clear over the last few weeks who the main rival to Trump is at least for now.”
The next tier of GOP candidates all poll in the single digits. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush gets 7 percent, followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, at 6 percent.
Carson has taken one of the biggest tumbles, dropping from 19 percent in the November poll. Following the terror attacks in Paris and California, Carson has struggled to demonstrate his national security bona fides and is sinking in the polls.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is at 5 percent and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee both have 4 percent support. The rest of the candidates register at 2 percent or less.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton saw a slight drop of 3 points since the November poll, but maintains her lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), 56 to 28 percent. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley trails, with 9 percent.
The poll was conducted from Dec. 16 to Dec. 17, following the Dec. 15 GOP debate. PPP surveyed 532 GOP primary voters and 525 Democratic primary voters via phone and Internet. The margin of error is 4.3 percent.

Anyways, I will assume from reading your political views, you aren't a total nutcase and you and I want mostly the same thing in the US government but we just see getting there differently is all. I have said it many times, I don't care if the potus is a republican or democrat as long as they are competent. A leader that gets things done.Comment
