I realized to not give a sh#t to score in the beginning of any event (be it soccer, hockey, baseball, ....). Stresses the f?ck out of someone. Every game is unique in its way eventually the game will play out and to the end. In my first months (6-12 months) I always judged the outcome of the game how it started ( I am NOT saying when a teams leads at beginning that this doesn't influence the game at all - end result of the game). I learned to handle the situation better of the time when the backed team trailed.
Now I try not to weigh the start of games so heavily to the outcome. Best thing I have done, reduces the stress-level for sure.
