    Mike Redmond fired in Miami
    About time.

Guy was clueless, and it's not like he didn't have a few pieces.
He had some talent there, like Stanton for starters.

Just a bad in game manager.

    Have they announced a hiring?

My vote would be for WALLY BACKMAN.

Good luck to the next guy trying to turn that sinking ship around.

At at least Redmond burned through some injuries and bad pitchers for him

Backman carries a lot of baggage though.

yes, Redmond was clueless but their SP's are below average and their bullpen is horrid. doesn't matter who manages at this point

Yeah, I really thought Cishek was going to be the next big thing too.

Hiring the GM as head coach because they're still paying Ozzie Guillen and Redmond. Trying to save $. Guy last coached in high school. What a Mickey Mouse operation

I am baffled by the GM being the coach now but I have to concur that letting Redmond go was the right move here. Fish should be around /above .500 team with the talent they have on the field.

Who said you need a manager to win? Might as well let the team captain come up with the lineup each night like they do in recreational leagues.

Sparky Anderson, when asked "how many games is a good manager worth a year across a 162 game season"
Anderson replied, "a good manager will win you at the most 5 games a season"
