Rockets are impressing me... playing their best ball right now. Didnt have Howard all year and still got the 2 seed in the west. I think this team is for real.

Big break catching a lot of rest right now. They will easily lose to the Warriors though. Winner of Spurs/clips series may be too tired to battle the rockets

Naw, they will by lucky to win one game if they go against the Spurs. They're a bad team. You can't win letting your opponent score 100 or more every game.

Warriors are the only team that has a shot to beat the spurs. Rockets aren't good enough. Just another clippers team with stars that won't lead their team anywhere when it counts

Spurs will beat the Clippers. Grizzlies will beat the Warriors. It will be a Memphis/Houston western conference final matchup.

Spurs will grind them down like they do every other team. 3-1 in the season series with a winning margin of 5.6 points. And this was the reg season which SA doesn't take very seriously. Wait til Houston sees the playoff Spurs.

Spurs will be too tired coming off of the Clippers series. Rockets will be well rested. Series will be close but Houston will prevail.

I think Spurs should be favored over Warriors. They have best chance to take them down imo of anyone left in either conference. It all depends on the officiating... if Warriors are getting every call like they have all year, no one has a chance to beat them except Spurs and maybe Cavs. No one else stands a chance in hell if Warriors get every call like they always do. Warriors are not the team everyone thinks they are when faced with adversity. Problem is, they havent faced it all year... and no reason to think it will show up soon either. Makes me sick the favoritism they get. They are good no doubt, but not +10 point differential good, and 67 wins good. Spurs will beat them because Spurs wont let them go on huge runs like every other team does, and they won't let the officials play a factor, even if they try. This is why Spurs are so good. They minimize the opponent's runs more than anyone in the league, and they use the entire roster on a nightly basis. Pop knows the strengths of every guy on the team and uses them all

This is bullshit. The Spurs have their stretches in the regular season where they "don't care" a bit (mainly has to do with resting players) but they always go on mad winning streaks in the regular season and some of that has to do with caring. 2 of those wins against Houston came during an 11-game win streak where they hardly rested anyone.

Does that have any influence on whether they will win it all or not?

Would they be favored over GSW?

Well it's not really for me to answer. You brought it up so I'm asking you if you think it's of any importance.
And no they wouldn't without homecourt. Probably warriors -150/-160.

I don't know about Warriors being favored. I think its even money or Spurs slight fav. If Spurs are + anything, Ill be on them big... Spurs were -160 against Clippers with Clippers having homecourt... Warriors will get more respect than that obviously, but I dont think they get enough to make them a favorite. We will see though. If I had to pick a line right now, Id open it at pick em.

I hope ur right, I took a Houston/Chicago finals at +6400 a few days ago... Thought that was a very good price, especially since Rockets are playing their best ball right now since Howard is healthy. It's gonna be tough for Rockets to beat Spurs and Warriors back to back though. But if Harden plays out of his mind they have a chance, and you know Harden is gonna be geared up to face Curry with all the MVP chatter both were spewing. Maybe Rockets get lucky and Grizz beat Wariors, but I doubt that happens

Golden State is juiced to win the West at every single shop I've seen. They won't be a dog in any series unless the Spurs sweep Houston or something.

Yeah they are, but you have to factor in the road each team has to get to the WCF. Spurs have a way tougher road to get to the WCF than GS does. That makes a huge difference... and the fact that Spurs are currently +280 and Warriors are +170 tells me its gonna be close to pick em when/if they meet. Warriors will be at least -300 in the Western semi's while Spurs will be -150 or so.
