That was the point. Theo nuked the mess and built from the bottom up to bring things together at once. Brought in Rizzo, Soler, Bryant, Russell, etc etc. I think the timeline was originally supposed to be 2016- but it got accelerated. Will have plenty of money to spend going forward too and have the core position players, including Rizzo and Castro, with Bryant, Soler, Russell all locked in cheap for the next 5-6 years. So they can easily sign a guy like David Price in the offseason.

The Cubs have a decent squad when you plug in there key pieces, he has a big bat and a lot of experts say he is MLB ready, I am excited to see how this pans out

How does his team not win the division? I would think pitching is there weakness? It seems by the end of the summer they should be better than the Mets
