number 1 d pairing right now is Ben Lovejoy/Ian Cole. Anyone betting the Pens is only thinking of Malkin/Crosby. Rags in 5 maybe 4, Pens shouldn't be in, and will bow out as they should early on. Defense wins in the playoffs and the Rags have FOUR D-man who would easily be higher up on Pits depth chart then Cole/Lovejoy plus you add in the goalie difference. Shouldn't be close.

your right regular season stats mean EVERYTHING, i mean Fleury just has a GAA above 3 in the playoffs the last 3 years and has a completely different defense playing in front of him now then he did this year, but i mean HE HAD THE MOST SHUTOUTS in the regular season therefore he is better... LoL, if you want to believe in that then you can, i am going to go with the team with the goalie and defense that doesn't choke in the playoffs recently.

Also last year, the rags lost 3 of the first 4 after basically being dead tired from the horrible scheduling, once they got their legs back they won 3 in a row. If you want to trust Fleury with that defense in front of him then be my guess.

You know what losing record does mean everything, i mean if a goalie has a 2.2 GAA and a save % of 922 in the playoffs he must be good right, nope he has more L's so why even bother looking at any other stat, in any sport for that matter, only wins should be what we look out. Carey price must suck and be a loser too i mean he had more L's then W's in the playoffs right??????

Put a gun to my head, and I'll take Ottawa. Hammond the only one real hot goalie right now, that counts big in the playoffs. Even scrub teams can make a run when their goalie is peaking at the right time.
