Tough to say currently, but Vijay Singh used to be amazing to watch putt from far away. One tournament he sunk like two 50 footers.

He was good.

It is absolutely, positively all about Sunday.
They all hit the ball basically the same.

Take a look at the putting stats for winners on Sundays vs. guys who lose leads.

Best putting year was Peppermint Paddy Harrington the year he won 2 majors and a few other events.
He made every 6-10 footer that mattered. I remember guys shaking their heads.

proximity to the cup is a huge determinant in putting success and that has little to do with putting. If every golfer putted from the same spot, there'd be a clear winner.

Stenson has the rep for his putting, year in and year out. I'm using him in my Masters pool - with JB Holmes, Rory, and Fowler.

I'll say Brandt Snedeker but that is probably not as true today as it was years ago. Freddie Jacobson is probably the best now IMO. Aaron Baadeley is another great putter. Luke Donald is worth mentioning, as is Spieth and Jimmy Walker

Greg Chalmers.

Last 4 years in a row (2011-2014) finished top 5 for lowest strokes per round, and the year before that (2010) finished 10th. I can't put into words how hard that is to do. Man has a terrific eye and stroke.
