    Wow
    Holy Shit Batman!

    NOYEBOY
    takes the lead from JAKEPEAVY21.

Never saw that coming, but it does prove what I've been saying all along.

"Can't Win If You Don't Try."

    Congratulations to NOYEBOY!

Only 14 days left to qualify for a spot in the top 50 places.

    Sudden Death Tournament
for those tied for 50th place.
If it's heads-up or 50 people tied this will be your final opportunity to Qualify.

    Tournament will be held on
    Sunday April 19th @ 3pm EST.

I'm really not trying to be negative, just breaking it down for you.

Most serious or "good" players look at the structure sheet of a tourney before they play. The event times and structure here suck and no doubt have kept a lot of good players from competing. That works for me, , but shouldn't for SBR. Most of the good players here like SBR and would be playing any contest you guys came up with so you're getting the same 30-40 players per tourney.

Not to mention, playing daily for 3 months to get a shot at a 50 man turbo is about as -EV as it gets so nobody besides the regs who would be playing anyways are going to dedicate that time.

Again, hope you don't take this as bashing. Simply replying to your comment with honesty.

a lot of new players entered the contest, and after cashing in on their first or second time playing, nothing after that. ( guess the pressure got to them)

This is well stated. I enjoy playing poker here and participating in the forum. If I were to win the WSOP seat I would be over the moon!

I think you are wrong about it being -EV

Particularly if you are a stud player. How many times would they need to play to win 1500 points. Not 3 months if they are good.

The final is a 50 man crap shoot. I know there are point prizes but this is really a 50 man winner take all. If the seat was awarded to the top points finisher yes you're right it would probably be +EV. Although someone good enough to take down the 1st spot gave up a lot of opportunity cost over those 3 months so depending on their average stake it is not clear.

Also, don't underestimate SBR's fine print of an 80% stake and how that would effect a lot of players decision to participate.

Have some thoughts on this that I think would be a marked improvement for the future (it wouldn't cost SBR anything extra and it would create true Leaderboard excitement, IMO.) And... it would somewhat eliminate the turbo aspect to determine the winner (without forcing any software blind/stack changes, if that's problematic for SBR).

I'm battling a nasty fever/cold right now (popping meds on the reg... made me miss my 6th tourney in this series last night... damn you Noyeboy and Peavy I'm still coming!) SO... gonna flesh out my thoughts about it in its own post as soon as possible.

I didn't play this series one but I see a lot of good guys in the top 50 that I'd be happy to see win that seat.

Hopefully it goes to one of the old timers like Jake, bite, sin, beer, yis, triple, shogun,Gum o,arun, moneyshot

                                    or even mikejammer......lol

Probably would have been easier to list who I didn't want to win.

                                    GL fellas.

I'm losing interest quickly..I'll be starting to work soon and the times of the tournies don't mesh with those that have jobs in the US..If the next series is the same format as the current one, I doubt I'll play very often.

Congrats NOYEBOY, you are having a very nice run

SBR is posting the whole 10k buyin, but is taking 20% of any winnings. So if you cash, 20% of the tax liability in your name will be the responsibility of SBR, the site that lacks the technical ability to fix basic problems, and you will be trusting them to properly complete their portion of the taxes. Not a position a lot of people want to be in.

I wouldn't mind worrying about taxes on free money. So I guess I could deal with the situation.

I'm with you boys. I'm playing the dailies so obv I don't mind. Just clarifying why I believe this series isn't attracting "good" players. 90% of the "good" tourney players I know are f'n cheapskates and bitch about everything from structures to rake percentage, down to the time before you can call a clock! I know a guy who will not play at the Commerce because they give you "2 whole minutes" before they can call the clock Pass up all that action for that reason doesn't compute with me just like I might owe extra tax on a freeroll but a lot of these tourney nits don't see it that way.

My win is kind of like an April Fool's joke. But I'll take it. Need on more good cash and I may sneak into the final.

Not surprised. You could have stopped player after about week 3 or 4 and still made the final tourney.

What times would be best to cover US workers? Isn't the 11pm one at 9pm for you?

and i find myself when i do play not even interested in playing for some odd reason
could it be that there is only one payout above 200? That's why I find it hard to get excited.
