    Anyone has a WORKING model in any sport?
    It's my third/fourth year of betting as an hobby. When i choose team only by gut feeling it goes OK but I tried many times to build a model in hockey/sport/tennis but I never succeed. My question is simple anyone has found a working model in any sport?

    Every hint/tip is appreciated.

      If they have one that actually works your odds of getting anything useful from them are somewhere between slim and none.

          As I always say about touts....if their picks were so good they would keep quiet and bet them on their own.

          Sharps stay sharp by not giving up their methods.

              100% agree. there are working angles but they require a lot of discipline and are not based on 1 or 2 observations.
              i could tell you that i made 180 units profit in 6 weeks, but would you believe me? i would not. and you should not either.

                  Nobody is going to give you anything remotely profitable. Luckily there's resources out there if you want to learn to model. There's the programming FAQ in Handicapper think tank or you could buy a few books like:
                  -Calculated Bets: Steve Skiena
                  - Mathletics:Wayne Winston

                  Or even justin7's book has an WNBA model although i doubt he programmed it himself.

                          The most useless stats are the free stats that most books and touts provide. Team A is 0-5 last............just useless.
