No dude I completely agree with the sample size being way too small. Not enough data there for me to make a pick but I would side Tampa gun to head. I'll be content cheering for the Mariners with you and not having anything on it personally.

Detroit looks too good. Price 2-3 2.80 ERA in Oakland all as a member of the Devil Rays. He has never given up more than 4 runs in Oakland. I don't understand the line but this is an auto play for me. I'll be fine when they lose 10-2 and everyone tells me it was a trap.

a) Not sure of Miggy.
b) Playing in Oakland is like playing in the Grand Canyon.
c) Forget the 1 and 4 reecord, Chavez is tough, Chavez is tough on RH batters (.197)
d) Chavez WH/IP is 1.10 and his ERA is 2.89
e) Chavez strikes out 1 an inning (41 in 43 inninngs)

Come to think about it, you can make a case for Oakland tonight also.

I know... it feels trappy to me too. Couldnt believe it when I saw it. Best part is you'll get 12 people telling you it was a trap game at 1 AM, and no one saying it now... lol.

OckertCR - I dunno if this matters much but the Rockpile called up a kid from triple A to make a start tonight instead of De La Rosa. If the listed pitchers had gone I would've been with you here but apparently De La Rosa cut his hand or some shit. Good luck!!

Because the casual fan knows Price is elite, and they will bang the Tigers with Price and the big name bats not really Oakland is a tough park, Chavez is a tough counterpart, etc. etc. etc.

It's like flipping a coin, and you have to lay juice on either side -103/-107

He is piss poor and I am glad that I don't have to watch him pitch tonight, but I just can't pass up +125 when the Reds can't hit a beachball, let alone win a game.

Despite the good numbers, Chavez is only giving you 6 innings. A's pen is bad after Scribner and Clippard, and I don't trust Clippard yet at all as a closer. A's almost need a perfect outing from Chavez (7 innings) AND have the pen hold up to win this game 2-1 or 3-2, because I think its a given Oakland won't sniff 4 runs. Throw in a potent (but presently cold) Detroit lineup, its just a lot to ask of this A's team right now. DET has the better starter and the better offense. Only thing that worries me is if Price can't go at least 8 innings. If he gets into trouble in the 6th or 7th look for an A's comeback win late. Anytime Detroit pen has to go 2+ innings you're in for heartbreak. Oakland should have one goal: Get Price out before the 8th.

Hey guys what are the thoughts on SF beating MIL tonight? Bumgarner is fresh off that dual he won with Kershaw and has been pitching great. Braun and Ramirez are both hitting him well ( .300 & .294 AVG respectively and 1.000 and .804 SLG) but aside from that I don't see much to worry about from the Brewers line up. Any additional insight or tips to look at for this game would be greatly appreciated.

I see that game as Garza's numbers aren't that bad against Giants bats combined with poor team hitting on both sides vs RHP/LHP. I think the total Under is worth a look a little more than the number, even though it is pretty reasonable at -128 now compared to the opener. I just don't see much offense in this one, maybe Gigantes scratch out 2 or 3 on the pen but I think it will be a tight one. 4-3 final
