The same logic applies to "Gun-Free" zones near college campuses, playgrounds, etc. If I'm about to go on a killing spree, do you think I give a shit about violating a "Gun-Free" zone law?

There's a reason the U.S. has the lowest gun fatalities per capita. Its because we know how to use automatic weapons responsibly.
There could be a lot more guns in our country & it wouldn't make a difference. There should actually be more guns. You should be given an assault rifle at birth & then receive another automatic weapon of choice every birthday there after.

There is no such thing for those of us who live in free states, yea there are some liberal cities that make you register them, but over all there is no gun registration in the USA. It's a liberal myth that all new guns sold are registered. When a FBI background check is done there is no mention of the guns make or serial #, just the persons info.

Of the 25+ most developed countries, we have the most guns per capita and the most gun deaths. Less guns would equal less gun deaths. Stabbings would rise. But there are a lot of illegal guns and that won't stop. However, it'll stop a lot of domestic shootings, accidental kid deaths and some deaths during a criminal activity. That's because the majority of Americans don't have access to illegal items but they don't need it because there is a gun store within 5 miles of your home. Believe it or not, I don't even know someone I could get weed from, let alone a glock.

problem with your analysis, slanina, is America has always had a plethora of guns; they are like roaches here, never going away; take guns away, in theory, only the criminals will have access to them -- unlike countries where the majority of people never had access to guns b/c of royalty or whatever, the US was founded on not letting only those in power having firearms......

understand this: CRIMINALS WILL NOT COMPLY WITH A GUN BAN!!!! that's why we call them criminals, b/c THEY VIOLATE THE LAW..... THEY WILL VIOLATE GUN LAWS.....

the huge supply of weapons in this market renders it impossible to rid our country of them; take them away from law abiding citizens, on the criminals and the cops will have them.... ask any home burglar what his/her biggest fear is, and it's "getting shot by the homeowner"...... take that fear away, brazen crackheads/methheads will have no fear in breaking into your home......

simply put, gun control will not work in the US....

waiting periods already in effect might stop a rage or "passion killing" or two, where johnny runs down to walmart and buys a shot gun and blows his skanky cheating wife away, but it will never lessen crimes committed with guns, gang murders, and most other gun crimes.....
