Not a balanced lineup...DET struggled vs RHP last year. Miggy is good vs RHP and V-Mart is a switch hitter but they need at least one pure lefty. However, the talent level is ridiculous. They should smash all LHP with the exception of Clayton Kershaw because he's sick.

They are a lot like some of the old yankee lineups of the 2000's. They have some big games, but they get a lot of their numbers in routs. Will still get shutdown plenty of time, just like last season.

No coin,
Most of us east coast guys go into every season with expectations our teams will be garbage.
We are usually right.

Yeah... I tend to agree with COIN. Excellent hype in Detroit to sell tickets. That's all the Tigers front office wants to do.
Everyone loves the Tigers. It use to be the Red Wings... all I hear is... "I can't wait for Tigers baseball"
Dombrowski puts together good teams. No question about it. But a playoff team this year? A championship team? Don't think so this year.

lol yeah bro hitting means nothing.
why do they even carry a bat with them when they walk into the batters box?
last years World Series
Royals vs Giants was a unique situation where 2 weak hitting teams with excellent pitching staffs made it to the World Series.
2 Wild card teams.
But the year before the Red Sox won with a lot of offense and a medicore pitching staff.

[QUOTE=wagerjunkie;23499121]
Kinsler- He is a "ball player" in every sense of the word. Clutch player and plays with a swagger. I cant say enough good things about this kid.
Davis- Fast as hell.. personally i think he will platoon with Gose and neither one hit good enough to bat #2 in the order IMO.
Cabrera- Hall of famer caliber when healthy
VMart- Hall of famer caliber when healthy.
Cespedes- Tremendous raw power as yall saw with back to back HR derby championships.... i really liked Tori Hunter i must say that Cespedes is an upgrade over Hunter.
JD Martinez- This guy is still developing and not 100% polished at this point in his career. Big upside though.
Alex Avilia - very good bottom of the order power.
Castenellos or however u spell it. This kid could be special and he is still developing.
Iglesias or however u spell it. Okay so this guy can play defense... thats about all i can say about him.
he is not going to produce much offensively.
its kinda of like what the Mariners are doing with shortstop Bobby Taylor not awhole of offensive upside but i dont think Rickie Weeks has enough range or arm strength to play SS.
