I was holding out on D-backs when the Red-sox game was 5-5 , then I saw Pmike adding the play at 10.09 PM ET. So I hurried to add the play at my bookie , but made an error and had to go back and do it again - bookie closed the market on that game 10.10 and didnt accept my play.

Gratz to pmike and everyone who tailed his chase play.

Same here. I am so frustrated. I thought I was doing the "right" thing by not extending myself on the AZ game before Bos/TB went final and ended up getting burned. I had my finger on the trigger to double up on AZ but then Bos teased me by tying it in the 8th and had a few more guys in scoring postion. Figured why risk more on AZ if Bost pulls this out.

Blue jays

Ok today I am going with Blue Jays. This is why:


1. Mariano Rivera is expected to sit out the next few days. No hall of fame closer, this is a plus.

2. Yankees will be resting some other players, so I hear.

3. Phil Hughes is expected to step into the closer role, ok thats workable.

4. Toronto will have one of there best on the mound Ricky Romero (11-6, 3.95 ERA).
he has a chance to move into a tie for the league lead in victories by a rookie.
yea I know no small hill to climb against the Yankees. Romero is 1-0 with a 4.38
ERA in two starts against the Yankees. I like that.

5. Chad Gaudin (1-0, 3.21) came over from the Padres, now I have seen him pitch
live and on tv. He is not good boys. I am shocked a team like the Yankees would
want him. Gaudin is making his second start since joining the Yankees from San
Diego. After pitching 4 1/3 scoreless innings against Oakland on Aug. 19, Gaudin
has made two relief appearances, allowing three runs in 6 1/3 innings.


What am I saying here? Well it boils down to this. If Yankees are going to lose
again this year or any time soon, today will be as good as it gets.

If Jays looks good then I will not risk 2 units to win one with the Dodgers. So far all the large Favorites have fallen. Therefore I believe the Dodgers should be good.

Just will not push it tonight. I will let you know 40 minutes before game time at the latest.
