Nascar Week or Opening Round of March Madness - Best Parties in Vegas?
Anybody ever been to the Nascar Race in Vegas?

is it a full week of sick parties and do you bump into the drivers at the Clubs and Casinos?

    and

who all has been to Vegas for the opening round of the March Madness tournament?

which is the better atmosphere? Is it too many thug/gangsta types during March Madness?

Best time to gamble and party is conference championship week. I just got back on Monday and headed back on March 11th-16th.
Baskets from 8 in the morning until 10 at night.
          Selection Sunday.
          Plus St.Patty's Parties.

              Opinion of a local...

First round of March Madness is better. Regardless, NASCAR week is a much bigger deal than many people realize. The drivers are all around town making appearances at various casinos, and hotel rooms are cheaper. There's definitely not the same buzz in the books, though.

IMO, if you can only pick one then go to the weekend of the sport that you're a bigger fan of.

                Daytona is nuts.

can carry coolers of beer into the racetrack. Not that big of a NASCAR fan, but tv doesn't do it justice.

there really is not many place that you get quite as much bang for your buck.

To get a nice hotel in a city like Seattle , San Francisco or Denver can run you close to $400 a night to stay in a fancy hotel. You can get 5 star like accomodations for as little as $70 a night in Vegas on some nights.

Stayed at the Palms place and got a $69 rate. Nice shower with a walk in Jaccuzi that connects from the shower. Bed was comfortable as can be and the room was nice enough to party in. Nice view of the strip... 2 flat screens so you can get 2 games on at once and it has a nice refrigerator, microwave and stove top. Hell you could even steam your own Lobster up in that joint.

U couldn't steam a lobster cause that would require having money. You like palms to be close to TGIF, bowling and 5 dollar blackjack. Broke dikk fuckin clown.
