Paterno was a good man. An Old School type guy. He liked to stay out of peoples personal business and keep it all football. He liked to give his peers the benifet of the doubt.

I don't put joe paterno much higher up than sandusky. He got off easy dying right after, would have been more justice if he would have had to explain turning a blind eye to kids getting ass raped.

As for Paterno, who cares? He who dies with the most toys or greatest legacy still dies. From there, you either stay in the ground, or you're judged. If it's the latter, the truth will come out either way.

You're one goofy son of a gun....Paterno ran that University and had more power than anyone including Tim Curley the AD or Spanier the President. They tried to get him to retire but he refused on a couple of occasions because he was a stubborn old man who wouldn't listen to anyone. He was set in his ways and the recruiting suffered because he stopped going on the road and the program lost many recruits including players like Terrelle Pryor because his old ass wouldn't travel to his high school to make a visit until it was too late. Paterno killed himself and he has no one to blame but himself for the way it ended...and you blaming PSU shows how little you know about who carried the real power around the campus because Paterno did...the leadership didn't
