+6 now, firing on the Cougs. Better defense, but do either teams even give a shit to be here?

I don't think Houston has the better defense Powder........if you look, they cannot stop the run, actually in the 90th percentile of teams stopping the run. That could be big time trouble, because Pitt is #6 in rush offense according to my numbers.

points per game was the extent of my research lol. good points you made. Conner for Pitt is a monster, forgot about him, still on the Cougs

Why did the line move almost a full 3 points in 10 minutes?

Maybe the weather? Certainly a game for running the ball...

The weather has been known though since yesterday. And to me it would have gone incrementally not all at once in a short time period. Its either an injury or someone like RAS had a late play on it. Just don't know which one..

This game is very different to regular season, so all these previous stat may not relevant, plus team have well rested & prepare for this.

I mean if you can't stop the run.....you can't stop the run.

For the most part, teams who had a difficult time stopping the run all season, had a difficult time stopping the run in their Bowl Games.

If you just don't have the right bodies on your roster, an extra few weeks isn't going to help, against a big, physical line, with a physical runner like James Connor hitting the holes.

With that said, anything can happen....I've also figured that out this Bowl season, lol.

I've got Pitt -9 on paper

initial low line and take away edge had me leaning Houston

now the lined has jumped, I'll pass

BTW, PITT should be a 7 pt favorite and it opened -2.5 , I like HOUSTON and should be high scoring

Regul8er i think you have incorrect stats ? Houston ranks 28th vs the run and 26th vs the pass.
Pitt has a worse run defense at 49th. this is based on yardage.

I was just in Dallas mcdonae, played the Cotton Bowl major zone (tennis) last week. The weather sucked!! ONLY reason I played was bec it was indoors at the new Lifetime Fitness up north west I think & Brookhaven CC indoors also. I go to Ft Worth once a year for ya'lls major zone in the end of summer (brutal heat dude, lol). I had to withdraw from Quarters, main draw, for some bs reason last week, but that is life. It stopped raining here in Houston this morning, but that cold weather in Dallas last week was brutal for someone like me from S Texas!! I saw the rain has let up a bit, is it still raining now???? The cold is not something UH players like at all! You would think with that and Conner running the ball for Pitt a high % of the snaps, UH is gotta load the box today. I'm hoping for punts, field position & field goals, lol.. If you ever get down to Houston, let me know. I work at a nice tennis club, will buy ya lunch, cheers & BOL today!!!

I work at a nice tennis club, will buy ya lunch, cheers & BOL today!!!

its let up a little bit, supposed to rain most of day tho. I go to houston a couple times a year

it happens in pro but less often ... this game looks like smooth sailing for the under. Next thing you know some erratic college kid will turn it over and 20-28 will pop in a quarter. This looked like 7-6 at half, all of a sudden 14-6, now Houston might score again. OT, etc.

Unders are never safe unless the number is huge and it's running game city. Even Oregon and Fla St went over after a pedestrian half with a HUGE total!
