Why can't Marc Trestman throw $50,000 on the Bears ML tomorrow night to make it a little bit more exciting? I do not see any conflict of interest here.

There would just need to be somewhere that they can post ticket so we know they are not betting on the other team.

    Seems fair to me.

if they bet the spread they coaches can make a call for a crucial field goal to cover instead of just running the clock.

Good idea. Romo has been betting the other side for years in december.

Problem I have with that is let's say you do that for a while. Then Week X you play the Seahawks and now you're not so sure, so you don't bet. In such a case, isn't not betting really a bet on the other team?

What book allows $50,000 bet on NFL for Americans?

Why would NFL coaches who make millions a year gamble?
I'm sure they invest there money in other things.

Pete Rose used to gamble on his team.

The problem was, on days he didn't gamble on his team, it was like letting people know to play the other side.

                            It's just unethical.

Pete Rose only gambled on his team to win...not to lose or throw games for his benefit. He was such a competitor it was not about the money, but the action. Even at that he still could not win because winning at sports wagering is about much more than just wins and losses, but money management and patience. He had neither. I played DI athletics with friends who played in the NBA and MLB. Me asking them "a pick" even when they were on the teams I could bet on meant zero in the long run unless games were fixed. Which of course they are not. Good luck!

Players and coaches are betting on themselves all the time in terms of getting the next contract.

I don't see a problem with it. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter who wins - s/u, ats, whatever.

The ganja is much stronger in Canada men.

I spent an hour finding a pizza place that would deliver in the blistering cold at 5 AM last night.
