Ray Lewis says one play has never won or lost a game
Has he been hit in the head too many times?
Lots of games are decided by one play. He's been involved in many of them.

He is saying that usually there are multiple times in a game in which a play could have been made differently for the losing team to have won.

There are many plays that lead up to that in which something could've been done or prevented for the game to not even come down to that "one play".
If retard folk makes his fgs does genos pick even matter? Would he even be put into that situation? No. But nobody looks at things that way.
His point is you can't look at a result of a football game in one play. There are countless plays that could've been made or prevented that alter the games result. A game isn't won or lost on one play.

How about last second shots? Those don't decide games. Ball goes in = win. Ball doesn't go in = loss. Sure you could take another play and say that (maybe), but that doesn't change that the single play decided the game.
Do 2 plays decide a game? 3 plays?
It's just a stupid mantra to say that one play can't decide a game. It can, and if I was coaching, I'd want my players to know it so they don't take any plays off.

Yes, the game can come down to 1 play. You can argue that games are won or lost because of events that transpire during the course of the game. If in a specific game the following events occur:
Team A offense/QB throws a Pick6 in the 2nd quarter
Team A misses a last second FG to win the game
Where do you place the blame?
Now in the case of the Pick6, the offensive line let pressure get to the QB and he was hit as he threw it. Who gets the blame?
There are a lot of moving parts to every game, right down to every play. It is after all, a team game

Joe Piscarcik's fumble cost that game, Norwood's missed fg, Franco's immaculate reception, the play where Tyree caught the ball on his helmet....Come on, Ray.

People who do not understand what is meant by that statement, clearly does not understand sports. At all.

I agree with Ray. In a close game, every play can be put under the microscope and could turn the game.

Asante Samuel dropped an int right before tyrees catch. ..which then never would've happened etc
The bills had the lead in 4th qtr 19-17 where was the defense to stop ny from scoring
no kick would have been tried
point is there is 60 minutes of action where team a can separate themselves from team b on those occasions little or no separation occurs, the end game plays loom larger but it's what didn't happen earlier gets overlooked at the end
