#108I was merely pointing out the amount of luck involved with Tyree's catch, Beckham's was simply super-human.Comment -

#109in a 100 attempts he wouldn't be able to do that again against his helmet = LUCK, not skill .....But that fool last night that made that catch will make many more like that watch , and the degree of difficulty imo was way way higher .....Comment -

#116I remember on MNF Wayne Chrebet was running full speed one way and turned and dove the opposite way to catch a low line drive around a standing defender. I don't think he could even see the ball it was so quick.Comment -

#120We're simply talking about a catch not who won the game ..... see the thing is , theres been lots of CLUTCH catches when times running out , or to keep a drive alive, but that doesn't mean they are are difficult as the catch that was made last night ....Comment -

#122Do you guys remember the Pro Throw catch? He played for Alabama. It was the play of the year in sports. I still think that was the best catch, ever! A great catch to me has to be unique and with a high degree of difficulty. Last nights catch had both of those. Great catch! Awesome. Look up the Pro thro catch on YouTube, if you have time.Comment -

#124If u see the tyree catch from the camera angle looking from his left unobstructed shoulder it's not even in same ballpark as beckhams catch
jumps straight up and holds on..
sans the helmet trap , catches like this with safetys draped on receivers happens frequently
the video is on YouTube. Nyg final drive this means war
someone should post side by side each catch tyrees without manning scramble portion.
Whittled down side by side it won't even be close which is betterComment -

But now days, any elite NFL WR makes catches like this routinely. Fitz can do it standing on his head:

#129The modern day sports world always wants to assign "greatest such-and-such EVER" to every play, player, game, season, whatever that comes along.
So sure, this was the greatest catch ever and it will continue to be the greatest catch ever for a couple of weeks until someone else makes the next greatest catch ever.Comment -

#130Considering the following....
1. He almost stepped out of bounds.
2. It was a Touchdown play.
3. There was a defensive pass interference on the play.
4. It was a one handed grab
5. The ball was literally over his head
You have to consider this the best catch of all time.

#132how does the giants losing the game have any bearing on the catch?
that was one of, if not the most amazing catches of all times
MANY nfl players present and past have already agreedComment -

Everyone remembers Dwight Clark's "The Catch" because it was THE defining moment that propelled those bitch-ass 49ers to the win in the NFC championship game. If that had only been a play in a game that the Niners lost, I seriously doubt it would still be known as "The Catch".
So again, Beckham made a good catch at home in a game his team lost.
Wake me up when it counts for something.Comment -
