I imagine that he actually wants to speak, but unfortunately he might be ostracized by his old community if he tried to come off as well spoken/educated. Many athletes from lower socio-economic backgrounds fear coming off as "too white" when talking to the media. They fear of being looked at as Uncle Toms.Comment -
