Sportsbooks need to be held accountable for their poker rooms.
There seems to me to be a growing a problem fo players having thier sportsbooks accounts frozen due to activity in the poker room. This is not an Iwager problem. While there have been a number of threads regarding Iwager players who accounts were frozen, I can tell you that there are players at other top rated sportsbooks having the same problem. I applaud Iwager for at least taking the stance of leaving Boss Media, who was their poker provider.

From the numerous emails I'm getting from sportsbook/poker players these are the things that are clear to me.
    1) I hvae no idea if the player was involved in collusion or not
    2) The sportsbook has no idea whether the player whose account they have suspended was colluding or not
    3) The poker provider is taking far too long to conduct their "investigation."
    4) Player is given no timeline as to when the "investigation" will be complete, and no way to defend themselves.
    5) SPortsbook refuses to take any responsibility. The attitude is very clear. If the poker room accused the player of colluding, we don't give a damn about the player, and if the poker providers needs a year to conduct their investigation, so be it.

Online poker has become very popular. I think watchdog sites need to ban together to set up fair ways of resolving accusations of cheating. SPortsbooks must be told, if you provide a poker room for your players, you are responsible for insuring poker related idisputes will be resolved in a timely manner. The player is not a cusomter of Prima poker or boss media or empire poker. The player is your cusomter, you the sportsbook must make sure the issue gets resolved. And any sportsbook who is unwilling to insure that their players are treated fairly, should be held accountable.

Marc, i have to agree with you on this one, all of these books don't want to take the time to open their own room, which i get, but then you have to at least have a decent amount of control over it! They are getting people to play with the money they just won in the sportsbook and making it seem so easy when all you get is a hassle! Why can't the books get their vendors under control, it shouldnt be that hard. Also the terms "chip dumping" and "collusion"
get thrown around alot by these books, but all they really know in the beginning is that there software flag something, not proved something. I have played with more than enough ahole who lost hundreds to me with the stupidest hands in the world, and i didnt know these people from adam! Does that mean they were chip dumping? tilting? or just stupid and don't care about there money?

I thing I find fascinating, is that these investigations never involve any discussions with the players involved. Players are never given any oppourtunity to defend themselves. And I highly doubt that the people reviewing the poker hands, are highly skilled poker players. More than likely, they are low paid, poorly trained clerks told to look at the plays and decide for yourself if you think there is anything fishy going on.

And here is the other question, lets say they freeze a players account for a month, than after a month they come back and say, its ok, you can play again. Where is the apology. WHere is the compensation.

Thats the stupid part, it doesnt matter how much you win it doesnt cost them a thing they still make money! If I was cheating fine, but define cheating and as marc says have the balls to talk to the player about it, and please back it up with facts, and facts that are presented quickly.

I haven't played much poker lately, but for a while I likely had half dozen active accounts and maybe played at another dozen sites at times. Never had my account locked for any reason.

With that said, these were generally poker only sites and they knew what they were doing. Many of these sportsbooks as marc mentions have no control or clue about poker (they just know they have to have poker b/c they will feel like shit that they missed out on the boom). So I agree with some of the guildlines provided. At the best poker places it is rarely an issue unless is actual fraud, but can happen even witht them.
