What makes them better? They are the same team and Miami gets to play easy coast teams who shouldn't even be in the playoffs. Spurs will destroy the heat in the finals.

No team is exactly the same every year. Ever. Even if not a single ciach nor single player leaves, the teams year in year out are always always different.
this heat edition is better defensively than last yr

Better? They are worse in every single category compared to the last 2 years. First time in like a decade they aren't even a top 10 defense in fg% allowed. But then again facing offensive inept teams in the playoffs will make anyone look godlike

It's gonna be a battle. The players like Birdman/Cole/Haslem/Diaw/Belinelli/Splitter will be the keys, if we even see this series though I think we will.

Spurs were something like 98% to close out gm 6 with a minute to go or whatever. There were alot of conspiracy theories at the time on here but I can't see Popovich throwing the game. At the same time....he pulled Duncan....he didn't foul with a 3 pt lead and 5 seconds left or whatever. James threw the ball away and was all set to be the choker but Pop bailed him out.

If anyone believe manu ginobili intentionally dribbled out of bounds and that the nba gods willingly made ray Allens 3 pointer go in then that person is beyond human help

I always wondered if there is a magnet in the ball and the rim
Not so obsessed that i would run onto the floor with a knife and grab the ball and cut it open

Statistically, this year's Heat team isn't as good as last year's defensively. However, this years team didn't take the regular season seriously, they basically coasted much of the year. After reaching the finals the three previous years, the Heat knew the importance of being as healthy as possible, so throughout the season resting guys was more important than having the best record, they willingly gave the Pacers the number one seed to ensure the health of players like D-Wade, and with the way Wade's played in the playoffs it looks like they made a smart decision. The defense they're playing in the playoffs is different than what they showed during the regular season, especially Lebron. When talking about the Heat, throw out the regular season as it meant nothing to them (just ask Brooklyn what sweeping the Heat 4-0 during the season meant once the playoffs started).

Statistically, this is completely untrue. There is a significant lack in the number of game 7s played vs expected in the NBA Playoffs since 2003.
